Welcome to my Pete Ruegg Photography blog. I will attempt to keep this current with what I am doing in the photography arena. I'll try to keep the personal day-to-day clutter for other social media outlets. Feel free to chime in, look around and enjoy what I post.
Just returned from a quick trip to Mammoth Lakes via Tioga Pass. Beautiful weather but a bit on the windy side. We beat the spring snow in Mammoth by a day. We were not able to take the road up to the Minaret lookout due to snow and roadwork. Could have been a great photo op. As it was I was able to get some interesting images from Tioga Pass and the lakes around Mammoth. I have some new images posted in 'the West' collection and I put a a few in the 'recent Images' folder as well.
I have completed the selection and final editing of my Niece's photo session. Her parents now have the ball in their court to look them over and pick their favorites. I have mine and we'll see if we are in synch. Stay tunes.
I'm working on the final selection and processing of the images from the recent senior portrait session. I think the client will be blown away!
On another note, I finally was able to locate a tripod that is tall enough! I have been struggling looking for a tripod with a max height with the center column NOT extended. Most tripod ads/sites list the max height with the center column extended. It was not easy but persistence pays off and Giottos was the winner. With the legs fully extended and camera mounted on my Giottos ball head the camera is above my eye level by about 3 to 4 inches and I'm 6'2"! Nice and sturdy too! Now for a trip down the coast for some shooting!
I had a delightful portrait session with my niece. Lot of fun and made some great images. Can't wait to present them.
My portrait season is getting off to a good start. I have a senior session setup this weekend . It should be a lot of fun.
